Accessory Cleaning

While the tank washout is in progress, hoses, pumps, dome lid seals, and hose trays are cleaned with hot soapy water — never overlooked.

After the wash, we dry the tank using a filtered ambient air system. We never use recycled water — no contamination risk between loads.

Computer-Generated Wash Reports

Our wash system is computer-operated and runs the proper washout from a menu of customer-specified options. On completion, a computer-generated report is produced showing every detail your compliance team needs.

  • Temperature throughout the wash cycle
  • Detergent and (if required) sanitizer used
  • Truck and/or trailer number
  • Full set of seal numbers

This printout is provided to the driver and emailed to your company on request — supporting your HACCP plan.

Our washout process follows a systematic sequence:

  1. Pre-inspection — assess the tanker’s condition and identify areas requiring special attention
  2. Dome lid cleaning — thorough cleaning before interior wash begins
  3. Interior wash — high-pressure, high-temperature, customer-specified detergents
  4. Accessory cleaning — hoses, pumps, seals, and hose trays with hot soapy water
  5. Rinse and sanitize — full rinse followed by sanitization when requested
  6. Drying — filtered ambient air system, no recycled water
  7. Final inspection — visual and documentation check before release

Why Food Grade Tanker Washouts Matter

Maintaining sanitation standards is paramount in the food industry, where even the slightest contamination can lead to health risks and regulatory violations. Food grade tanker washouts prevent cross-contamination and preserve the purity of food products during transit. Without proper cleaning, residues from previous loads can contaminate subsequent shipments. Regular cleaning also prevents the buildup of corrosive materials that damage tanker surfaces over time.

Regulations and Compliance

Food grade tanker washout procedures are governed by FDA regulations for cleaning of food contact surfaces, HACCP principles for systematic identification and control of food safety hazards, and industry best practices established by food industry associations. Allstar Truck Wash maintains full compliance with these standards.

Exterior Wash After Washout

Customers hauling dairy often request that we run their tankers through the exterior wash bay after a washout. If you have a specific request, call us at (806) 993-1620.
